What does this mean in practice?
Application use, web addresses, screenshots, live images, alerts and backups do not leave your own network. Monitored computers connect directly to the local MonBuddy server, not to an external provider’s system.
What leaves the network?
With an online licence, your server connects to license.monbuddy.io only for licence checks and signed updates. This may include licence and installation identifiers, computer count and device proof; screenshots, web addresses, application-use data and identifying details of monitored people are not sent.
It can work without the internet
An offline licence is available for isolated networks. Activation uses a request file and a signed licence file, while updates can be transferred as verified packages. No regular external connection is required.
Control and responsibility stay with you
You grant access to the interface, set retention periods and inform monitored people according to the rules that apply to you. The EU profile requires visible operation and prohibits recording keystroke content or using webcam and microphone data.
